About Hayward
Hayward is a city located in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area in Alameda County. As such, it is considered one of the major suburbs of Oakland and San Francisco. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 140,030. The suburbs of Mt. Eden and Schafer Park have been incorporated into Hayward.
